Rob Batherson and his family have called west Halifax home for the last two decades.

An experienced business leader who has worked with a wide range of organizations, Rob has also given back to the community in countless ways, recognized with a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal. He has chaired the boards of Neptune Theatre and Halifax Chamber of Commerce, and also served as a member of the boards of Halifax Stanfield International Airport and Mount Saint Vincent University (where he also earned his Bachelor of Public Relations degree).

Rob learned a lot about strong, compassionate leadership working as part of Nova Scotia Premier John Hamm’s senior team.  He hopes to bring those same qualities to Parliament on behalf of the people of Halifax West.

As President of the Conservative Party of Canada and Director of Conservative Fund Canada, Rob got to work with and know Pierre Poilievre and his team.  Pierre’s laser focus on affordability, housing, fiscal responsibility and public safety inspired Rob to run for Parliament and give the people of Halifax West their best voice in a new Conservative government.
